Holy Ground, Sacred Space
HOLY GROUND, SACRED SPACES
Saint Anne's Labyrinth, located on the north side of the building, is available to anyone, anytime, for walking meditation and prayer. Our canvas labyrinth is set up periodically during the winter in the Parish Hall. The Sanctuary is available anytime the church is open, for prayer and meditation.
The Outdoor Chapel is a beautiful space to meditate, read, or just find quiet in the midst of life.
Saint Anne's Columbarium Garden is a peaceful place for prayer and meditation.
The Summer Club kids spent the summer of 2009 working and playing toward the goal of establishing Saint Anne’s as an International Peace Site, and decided a peace garden at Saint Anne’s would be a beautiful outward sign of this commitment. The blessing & dedication of the Peace Garden was held on October 4, 2009. Plants from our home gardens, bulbs and seeds were planted, as we sang and prayed and read poems written by the children. We held dirt in our hands and asked God's blessing on our garden. In October 2010, three Peace Poles were planted and a prayer flag trellis was added. The peace garden will be relocated in 2015 as the Saint Anne's grounds and parking lot are upgraded in the first phase of capital improvements.
