St. Anne’s members who are homebound due to prolonged illness or age regularly receive Communion in their homes from the clergy or one of our trained Eucharistic Visitors. At the conclusion of the Sunday worship service, the deacon prepares in-home Communion kits and sends the Eucharistic Visitors out with these words:
Deacon: I send you forth bearing these gifts for (name of person), that s/he may share with us in this Sacrament of Holy Communion.
People: We who are many are one body, for we all share one bread, one cup.
To request that communion be brought to you or a home-bound member of St. Anne’s, please contact the Parish Nurse, Marilyn Garwood, or Lydia or Pat.
