Engaruka Primary School, Engaruka Juu, Tanzania:  St. Anne’s is continuing our support to Engaruka Primary School in Tanzania, East Africa, through Operation Bootstrap Africa (OBA), through our Millennium Development Goals (MDG) campaign.  OBA had been working with this school for several years and has recently funded four new girls dormitories with beds and mattresses and a new latrine and bathhouse as well. OBA has also provided funds for desks and books.  Recently our “Saintly Sewers” made bookbags for the students at OBA. Our Sunday Club students wrote notes to enclose in each bag. The Outreach Committee is also exploring opportunities to providing scholarships to students on behalf of each of the Sunday school classrooms, with the idea that St. Anne’s youth could begin to communicate with the scholarship recipients.
